School Missions
A visit to the Town of Ramapo Challenger Center is not just a field trip - it's an educational adventure! Using the natural curiosity and enthusiasm students have for space, we create interactive and engaging STEM learning experiences for students that enable them to perform similar "hands-on" tasks done by real scientists, engineers, and astronauts. Our Mission Control and Spacecraft simulators allow students to apply the knowledge they learn in the classroom to authentic, real-world experiences that are truly out-of-this-world! Team missions are available for students in grades 1 through 12, which promote Problem-Based Learning and 21st Century Skills including leadership, communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. All of our programs support the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
The Town of Ramapo Challenger Center is part of a growing nationwide network of interactive, "hands-on" educational STEM learning experiences for students. We provide on-site missions, teacher in-service training, and pre- and post-visit curriculum materials for classroom use.
